James

James is a Watchmaker at J Farren-Price, having joined the service centre shortly after completing his formal watchmaking training. Now approaching his first year with the business, he began his career following a renewed fascination with mechanical watches, discovering watchmaking as a craft that combined technical precision with hands-on problem solving.

With just over a year of experience as a qualified watchmaker, James is particularly motivated by being closely involved in the full servicing process, valuing the ability to guide a timepiece through each stage of repair and restoration. He approaches his work with discipline and consistency, following established servicing methods to ensure every watch is completed to the highest possible standard.

For James, watchmaking is both a profession and a genuine personal interest — a passion that extends well beyond the workshop. He finds great satisfaction in the rhythm of the craft, where focused attention and technical care make time pass quickly, and each completed repair represents another watch ready to be worn and enjoyed again.
