OUR BESPOKE PROCESS

At J Farren-Price, we have been creating bespoke luxury jewellery for our clients for over 40 years. Our detailed creative process begins with a single sketch and continues through to the finished piece. Whether you arrive with your own ideas or draw inspiration from our designer and boutique collection, with the expertise of our Production Manager & Designer Niki, the experience is entirely tailored to you.

We source only the finest precious metals and gemstones with quality and craftsmanship at the forefront. Our bespoke process typically takes 4–6 weeks, depending on design complexity and gemstone sourcing.

INITIAL CONSULTATION

Your bespoke journey begins with a personal consultation in our boutique, where we take the time to understand your vision and the meaning behind the piece you wish to create. You will meet with either our in-house designer, Niki, or one of our senior consultants to explore the possibilities and refine your ideas.

Together, we consider style, practicalities, budget, and any diamonds or gemstones. You are welcome to bring sketches or inspiration images, or draw from examples within our collection. Whether creating a new design or remodelling an existing piece, this first meeting lays the foundation for something deeply personal and uniquely yours.

CONCEPT & DESIGN

Following your initial consultation, we will prepare sketches or refined design concepts to present at your next in-person appointment. We may also source and present a selection of diamonds or gemstones, allowing you to see the piece begin to take shape.

This stage is collaborative and tailored to you. For some, a single design captures the vision immediately; for others, we explore and refine several directions. We continue to develop the design and meet as needed to ensure every detail feels considered, personal, and exactly as envisioned.

QUOTE & DEPOSIT

Once your design has been finalised and every detail carefully considered, we will provide a detailed quotation for the piece. Upon approval, a deposit is taken and the design is entrusted to our jewellers to begin crafting within our workshop.

At this stage, the concept moves from sketch to creation, with each element brought to life by hand using the selected materials and gemstones.

PRESENTATION & FITTING

Once your piece has been completed, we will invite you back into the boutique for the final presentation. This is a special moment in the bespoke journey — the first opportunity to see, try on, and experience your finished piece in person.

During this appointment, we will carefully walk you through the details of the design, ensuring the fit, gemstones, proportions, and overall finish meet your expectations exactly as envisioned. We encourage you to take your time with the piece, while any final refinements or adjustments can be made to ensure the finished result feels not only beautiful, but entirely yours.

YOURS TO TREASURE

Once you are completely happy with your finished piece and final payment has been made, we will carefully prepare it for collection with our signature gift wrapping. This final stage marks the completion of a deeply personal journey — from initial idea through to a beautifully realised creation, crafted exclusively for you.
