VERY RARE BY NATURE: H. MOSER & CIE. – JANUARY 2025 NEWS

This month, we are thrilled to introduce H. Moser & Cie.’s new campaign: VERY RARE, by nature.

Inspired by the concept of wildlife documentaries pursuing rare breeds, this unique campaign positions the brand’s exceptional timepieces as the target of an exciting chase. An integral part of this concept was the perspective of the photographer, Dante T. Eustis, who himself is an H. Moser & Cie. enthusiast. Throughout this campaign, he captures the very rare H. Moser & Cie. watches in their natural habitats for the first time.

In an exclusive interview with Dante T. Eustis, he discusses how the combination of form and intention in watchmaking is what sets rare breeds apart. If you are interested in discovering more from this conversation, you may read the full interview here.

Of particular note in this interview was a discussion of the Streamliner Small Seconds Blue Enamel, a winner at the 2024 GPHG awards.

H. Moser & Cie. unites exclusivity, craftsmanship, and performance in a remarkable timepiece. Its 39mm cushion-shaped steel case draws inspiration from the flowing lines of early 20th-century high-speed trains.

Complemented by an integrated steel bracelet with fluid, organic links, the watch offers elegance and durability, water-resistant to 120 metres. At its heart is the innovative automatic calibre HMC 500, Moser’s slimmest modern movement, boasting a solid platinum micro-rotor and an impressive 74-hour power reserve.

The star of this model is the Grand Feu enamel dial in "Aqua Blue", which showcases Moser’s signature fumé finish with a masterful ombré effect. Painstakingly crafted over 12 firings, each dial is unique, featuring subtle indices, luminescent three-dimensional hands, and an offset lacquered small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock.

The result is a striking Aqua Blue dial that is both striking and mysterious, creating an alluring contrast with the steel case. A testament to H. Moser & Cie.’s technical and artistic expertise, this watch is a timeless addition to the independent watchmaking world.

Another rarity featured in this campaign is the Streamliner Centre Seconds Matrix Green, dubbed the ‘Green Dragon’ by collectors.

This timepiece is a masterpiece of balanced design and technical precision. Its 40mm cushion-shaped steel case, with alternating brushed and polished surfaces, exudes elegance while offering water resistance up to 120 metres.

The integrated, lugless steel bracelet flows seamlessly from the case, with articulated links and fluid forms that ensure both sophistication and comfort.

The striking Matrix Green fumé dial is once again the centerpiece of this creation, radiating a dynamic gradient of shades from olive green to red gold. Accentuated by 3D hands with Super-LumiNova®-enhanced Globolight® inserts, the dial offers a harmonious blend of artistry and readability.

At the heart of the timepiece lies the HMC 201 calibre, a self-winding movement with a three-day power reserve. Its partially skeletonised bridges and contemporary anthracite finish provide a captivating view of the intricate mechanics, blending innovation with timeless elegance. With everything combined, the result is an exceptional example of modern and rare haute horlogerie.

Step into a landscape of rare breeds with the H. Moser & Cie. collection.
