History

The Demeglio family have been in the jewellery business for over a hundred years, and Roberto knew from a young age that he wanted to be a goldsmith. Learning from his family and from master artisans in the famed city of Valenza, Italy’s “city of gold”, he opened his first goldsmith laboratory in Turin at just eighteen years of age. It was in 1992, once he’d opened a showroom with his brother Giuseppe, that Roberto began designing bespoke jewellery, modernising the techniques he’d been taught since childhood and ushering in a new era of luxury for his family’s craft. 

The first flexible collection of Roberto Demeglio stretch bracelets launched in 2004, creating a turning point in luxury jewellery for the modern woman – comfortable, easy to wear, and entirely free of clasps.

Roberto Demeglio’s Gioconda collection combined 18k gold, diamonds, and stainless steel in a flexible design that moved effortlessly with its wearer. In the following year Roberto Demeglio launched what is now one of his most iconic collections worldwide; Domino. Domino is a high-tech and unexpectedly elegant combination of ceramic and diamonds that continues the brand’s tradition of crafting eclectic yet masterful designs.
