PATEK PHILIPPE 2021 NOVELTIES - APRIL 2021 NEWS
CALATRAVA & CALENDARS (April 2021)
We are excited to share with you some of Patek Philippe's impressive new 2021 timepieces revealed this month.
The manufacture presents a bouquet of technical and aesthetic debuts: the Calatrava “Clous de Paris” with a new manually wound movement and a contemporary design (ref: 6119G and 6119R); a new 5236P Perpetual Calendar with an innovative in-line display; the patented 4947/1A Annual Calendar in its first ever round steel case and the ladies 4997/200G Calatrava model with a guilloched, blue lacquered dial with a self-winding movement in a slightly larger case.
Patek Philippe is adding a brand-new perpetual calendar (ref: 5236 featured below) with an original in-line display to its rich range of calendar watches. The day, date and month appear in a large single aperture at 12 o'clock. So as to combine originality, legibility and reliability, the watch design engineers have developed the new self-winding movement 31-260 PS QL with an additional in-line display module, for which three patent applications have been filed.
This highly sophisticated new caliber is housed in an elegant platinum case framing a vertical satin-finished blue dial with a black-gradient rim.
For the first time, Patek Philippe is offering the Annual Calendar in a round Calatrava-type polished steel case (featured below - ref: 4947/1A) with a 38mm diameter that suits all wrists. This watch is equipped with a new integrated and entirely polished bracelet featuring five rows of links.
The shimmering reflections of the steel frame an elegant midnight blue dial enhanced by a double vertical and horizontal satin finish. Patek Philippe’s patented Annual Calendar requires only one correction per year.
Patek Philippe gives fresh momentum to the emblematic Calatrava model featuring a guilloched hobnail pattern also known as Clous de Paris by treating it to a slightly larger diameter and a design reinterpreted in a contemporary spirit.

The faceted applied rose gold hour-markers, combined with dauphine-style hours/minutes hands, create a sleek and timeless dial aesthetic. The elegantly refined rose gold case houses the new manually wound movement 30-255 PS with a 65-hour power reserve.
