TONDA PF MICRO-ROTOR NO DATE

As announced in last month’s newsletter, Watches and Wonders 2024 saw the release of Parmigiani Fleurier’s new TONDA PF Micro-Rotor No date. In comparison with the previous TONDA PF Micro-Rotor, this model indicates hours and minutes but omits the date window, in alignment with Parmigiani Fleurier’s pursuit of purity and understatement, which serves as the brand’s mantra.

We have recently welcomed this new timepiece in-store, with the striking new Golden Siena dial – exuding elegance and diffusing warm serenity. This fresh new dial colour, enhanced with a Grain d’Orge hand-guilloché finish, fits perfectly into the luxury wardrobe of today. Featuring a stainless-steel case and platinum 950 knurled bezel, this watch embodies refinement and sophistication.

TONDA PF MINUTE RATTRAPANTE

A completely new way of reading and perceiving time.

The innovative function of the TONDA PF Minute Rattrapante enables on-demand fine calibration of the minutes over a specific period of time for any occasion or event requiring measurement of the minutes that count. A complication that is intuitive, modern and extremely user-friendly, in harmony with the spirit that guides the Parmigiani Fleurier Maison.

The dial features an hour hand along with two superimposed minute hands – of which the premiere in rhodium-plated gold indicates real time coupled with the hour hand. It conceals the other hand in 18ct rose gold, which will calculate minutes in five or one-minute increments on demand.

To activate these functions, specific pushers come into play: the one positioned at 8 o’clock for five-minute increments and the one at 10 o’clock for one-minute increments. The measurement of elapsed time continues until the rhodium-plated hand aligns with the position of the 18ct rose gold hand. The rhodium-plated hand can be returned to its original position using the crown-integrated pusher, in a similar way to the split-seconds function.

The “rattrapante” denomination describes the motion performed by the extra hand when it jumps back to its concealed position, similar to a split-seconds chronograph hand. Within this timepiece, Parmigiani Fleurier skilfully fuses pragmatic, intuitive complications with the luxurious, understated aesthetic that defines the TONDA PF collection.

TONDA PF SPORT AUTOMATIC

A timepiece that transcends the daily routine for outdoor escapes.

The TONDA PF Sport Automatic in 18-carat rose gold measures 41 mm in diameter and hold a knurled bezel comprises 160 incisions, rather than the 225 incisions on the bezel of the regular TONDA PF collection, creating a bolder play of light and reflection that underlines its sportier character.

The dial is decorated with a hand-guilloché ‘triangular nail’ pattern and finished with applied hour markers coated in black SuperLuminova. The design of the oscillating weight has been developed especially for this line: skeletonised with more sporty touches, inspired by the steering wheel of the legendary Ferrari 250 GTO. Overall, this Parmigiani Fleurier timepiece offers an elegant and chic look with a subtle sporty feel.
