Earlier this month, J Farren-Price partnered with Vacheron Constantin to bring an extraordinary horological experience to life at Sydney’s Machine Hall - a space beautifully transformed in celebration of the Maison’s remarkable 270-year history and the unveiling of its 2025 Watches & Wonders novelties.
Guests were taken on The Quest - an immersive journey through five artfully curated rooms: Heritage, Métiers d’Art, The Quest, High Watchmaking, and the Novelties Showcase. Together, they told the story of the brand's guiding philosophy, first articulated by François Constantin in 1891: “Do better if possible, and that is always possible.”
One particularly admired piece was a 1918 perpetual calendar pocket watch with moonphase display - a striking example of Vacheron Constantin’s long-standing fascination with astronomy. A legacy that continues today with the release of the Les Cabinotiers Armillary Tourbillon Solaria, the world’s most complicated wristwatch with an astounding 41 complications.
Guests were also invited to engage with a collection of historic timepieces spanning 270 years - a rare opportunity to witness the Maison’s legacy of precision, innovation, and aesthetic beauty. Every detail spoke to Vacheron Constantin’s devotion to craftsmanship and its openness to the world, from the delicate engravings of its Métiers d’Art creations to the technical mastery of its high complication models.
As a bespoke touch, each guest received a hand-painted celestial night sky by artist and calligrapher Fay Kalinak, personalised with their own astrological constellation — a poetic homage to the Maison’s ties to the stars.
The evening concluded with champagne, canapés, and the opportunity to discover — and try on — the full suite of the 270th anniversary limited editions, including pieces newly unveiled for 2025.
This milestone year marks not only a celebration of the past, but a bold step forward. The 2025 novelties reflect Vacheron Constantin’s enduring values while embracing the future of fine watchmaking with sophistication and vision.
