Niki is the Production Manager & Designer at J Farren-Price, bringing more than four decades of experience in fine jewellery craftsmanship, design, and production. Having been part of the J Farren-Price team for over ten years, she combines creative vision with deep technical expertise.
Niki began her career in jewellery in 1985 as an apprentice under her uncle, also a jeweller, laying the foundation for a lifelong dedication to the craft. She later established her own jewellery business in 1995, gaining invaluable experience in both design and production before continuing her career with a high-end jewellery house for over eight years.
In her role, Niki oversees the journey of each piece from concept through to completion, working closely with jewellers, CAD designers, and gemstone setters while leading gemstone and diamond selection and maintaining rigorous quality control standards. Her design approach is guided by the individuality of each gemstone and the personal stories behind client commissions, drawing inspiration from nature and forms found in everyday life. She has a particular passion for coloured gemstones and coloured diamonds, often pairing them with white diamonds to enhance their vibrancy, and enjoys incorporating two-tone gold and hand-engraved details into her creations.
For Niki, the most rewarding moment comes when a client first sees their finished piece – often met with smiles, tears of joy, and heartfelt embraces – knowing a personal vision has been brought to life through craftsmanship and care. Outside of the atelier, she finds inspiration and balance by spending time by the ocean, where the rhythm and beauty of the natural environment continue to influence her creative perspective.
