Jean-Charles joined J Farren-Price in June 2024, bringing more than 15 years of international watchmaking experience gained across France, Switzerland and Australia. Before joining the team, he spent eight years working with Rolex Australia, further developing his technical expertise alongside a strong focus on client service and the careful restoration of fine timepieces.
His career in watchmaking began following formal studies in 2004, leading to his first professional role in Switzerland in 2010, where he worked on exceptionally refined mechanical watches. Over the years, Jean-Charles has cultivated a reputation for precision, patience, and meticulous attention to detail, guiding every aspect of his work. He particularly values the responsibility of caring for watches that hold deep personal meaning for their owners, especially family heirlooms passed through generations. He approaches every service with the understanding that each timepiece is unique, carefully balancing technical excellence with respect for a client’s wishes, including the preservation of original components and the integrity of the watch’s character.
Known for his thoughtful and methodical approach, Jean-Charles finds great satisfaction in completing a beautifully executed restoration and imagining the moment a watch is reunited with its owner. He also enjoys supporting and sharing knowledge with younger watchmakers, continuing the tradition of mentorship that shaped his own career.
To Jean-Charles, fine watches represent far more than mechanical precision. They are enduring symbols of family, heritage, and continuity, connecting past, present, and future in an increasingly digital world. Outside the workshop, he enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, and continuing his passion for horology by working on watches in his own workshop.
