Bantō, the harbinger of spring. The dial of this dress watch is in a delicate shade of champagne that evokes Bantō, the ‘sekki’ or season in Japan when the harshest days of winter are over and the long-awaited warmth of the sun lights up the snow-covered landscape. A faint but definite hint of spring is in the air. Powered by the slim, hand-wound movement, Calibre 9S64, this refined timepiece is simple in its overall design but so exquisitely finished that its details are forever fascinating. The dial is open and clean but, when viewed through the sapphire case back, the intricate perfection of the hand-assembled and adjusted movement is abundantly and satisfyingly clear. Thanks to a long mainspring and a balance, both made of proprietary SPRON alloys, this watch has a high and stable accuracy rate and a power reserve of 72 hours.
